Originally from Cold Spring Harbor, New York, I grew up in a busy family as the oldest of three boys with plenty of cousins nearby. Influenced by the strong family values of my grandfather, the late Perry Como, our growing families continue to be close-knit regardless of geography. Back east I worked in New York City for seven years as an equity analyst and trader for Trainer, Wortham and Company, the second oldest investment counseling firm in the country originating in 1924. In 1999 I decided to hang up my suit and tie and finally pursue my dream of living in California. My previous experience in New York´s financial sector helped me land the job as Financial Manager of Boardsports, a retail chain of outdoor sporting goods stores. Managing all aspects of the retail business led me to my next position of General Manager of Advanced Sports Systems, a company which gave me experience on the production side of the business.
Like many Californians, my love of the outdoors and my passions of surfing, snowboarding, hiking and climbing have resulted in an extensive knowledge of the area and of the people here. In addition to enjoyment of the terrain, I also take pleasure in cultural elements of the area through theater, music, art, photography, architecture and cuisine.
